[ About ]
■
I was sitting in a café in Spain, watching the light change over the sea, when I realized something that had been true for years but I'd never named: I think differently when I'm somewhere else.
Not on vacation. Not when I'm running from something. But when I intentionally place myself in a new environment—even temporarily—something shifts. The noise quiets. New ideas surface. I come back to myself.
I started calling it elsewhere energy.
And I realized: if changing your environment can unlock that kind of clarity and renewal, why is it so hard to access? Why does "living abroad" feel like an all-or-nothing decision? Why is there nothing between a week-long vacation and permanent relocation?
That's the gap Live Spaciously was created to fill.
[ founder story ]
My name is Kimberly. I'm a humanitarian, strategist, and global project leader who has spent the last decade managing multimillion-dollar digital transformation projects across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
I've lived and worked in places most people only visit. I've navigated burnout while caregiving across continents. I've shown up in unfamiliar cities alone and had to figure out: Where is safe? Where can I actually exhale?
Being a well-traveled Black woman means I've become hyper-vigilant about safety, belonging, and finding spaces where I don't have to negotiate my humanity. That vigilance—that lived experience—shapes everything Live Spaciously builds.
When I look for destinations, I'm not just checking logistics. I'm asking: Can I show up here fully? Will I be welcomed or othered? Does this place pass the vibe test? Can I actually live here long term? Can I thrive here professionally?
That's the level of care I bring to every Residency Hub we vet.

[ The approach ]
Clarity doesn't come from escaping. It comes from changing your environment with intention.
Most of us can't—or don't want to—quit our jobs, uproot our families, or start over somewhere new. But we still need spaciousness. We still need to step outside the environments that were never designed for our thriving and see what becomes possible when we do.
Live Spaciously exists because I believe:
Transformation doesn't always require disruption. You can expand without burning everything down.
Environment change is a strategy, not just a luxury. New places unlock new energy, new thinking, new possibilities.
Global living should be accessible, not binary. You shouldn't have to choose between "never" and "forever."
Cultural specificity matters. Black professionals deserve international experiences designed WITH us, not despite us.
Elsewhere energy is real. And it shouldn't take a decade of trial and error to access it.
[ How it works ]
What We've Built So Far
Earlier this year, I ran the first Live Spaciously Residencies in Panama City, Panama.
It worked.
What they found: clarity, community, and proof that you don't have to relocate permanently to experience the renewal that comes from living somewhere else—even briefly.
That experience validated everything I believed about elsewhere energy. And it showed me that when you remove the friction—the logistics, the isolation, the cultural guesswork—people are ready to expand.

Where We're Going
Live Spaciously is building a global network of Residency Hubs—vetted international destinations where Black professionals and allies can live and work for weeks, months, or longer.
Our next hub launches in Panama City, Panam in February 2026, with vetting for Medellín, Colombia, Cusco, Peru, and Lisbon, Portugal happening now.
Each hub is intentionally designed: vetted for safety, curated for cultural resonance, and lightly hosted so you have the structure to connect and the spaciousness to move at your own pace.
This isn't a travel company. It's not a relocation service.
It's a new way of living: strategic, spacious, and on your terms.
We're creating the infrastructure that makes elsewhere energy accessible—every quarter, every year, for as long as you need it.
