[ about ]

Live Spaciously designs structured pauses that help high-pressure professionals reduce cognitive and cultural load without disrupting their lives.

We exist because the recovery options available today no longer fit how modern adults actually live and work.

Vacation is too short.
Sabbaticals are inaccessible.
Retreats are often over-programmed.
Relocation is too permanent.

Live Spaciously offers a different path.

A Modern Alternative to Sabbaticals

We design work-compatible residencies (one week to one month) that provide the core benefit of a sabbatical: environmental interruption.

No months away.
No institutional permission.
No reinvention required.

Just space to think clearly again.

[ The Core Insight ]

Built on a Simple Insight

Recovery fails not because people lack discipline but because environment is ignored.

Live Spaciously removes friction from environment change so clarity can return before burnout or breakdown.

This is recovery by design, not willpower.

Who We Serve

Live Spaciously was designed from the lived reality of Black professionals, where the weight of responsibility, vigilance, and decision-making is often heavier.

The model serves anyone experiencing sustained pressure and reduced mental space.

Our work is guided by:

  • cultural ease without extraction

  • presence without performance

  • clarity without spectacle

Residents aren’t here to consume a place—they’re here to exist within it.

Why This Work is Personal

I’m Kimberly Adams. I’m a humanitarian technologist, strategist, and global project leader.

For over a decade, I worked across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas managing complex, high-stakes programs in environments where judgment, trust, and risk management mattered.

In humanitarian work, we were required to leave high-pressure environments every few months because fatigue narrows judgment.
The idea was right.
The execution often wasn’t.

Live Spaciously applies that same principle to civilian life, but with intention, care, and sustainability.

This work is grounded in lived, operational experience.

What We’re Building

Live Spaciously is not a travel brand or a retreat company.

We are building infrastructure for repeatable mental clarity—a new category between vacation and relocation.

If you’re interested in the underlying structure behind this work, I’ve written a longer systems-level explainer on how Live Spaciously differs from traditional sabbaticals and retreats.
