Live Spaciously residencies offer the kind of mental space people usually associate with a sabbatical—rest, clarity, and perspective—without requiring months away, employer approval, or putting life on hold.

These are short-term, work-compatible stays designed for people carrying sustained pressure who need distance from their day-to-day environment before making decisions, changes, or plans.

The model draws from recovery practices used in high-intensity fields, where stepping away from demanding environments is necessary to maintain judgment. We’ve adapted that logic into a form of relief that can be returned to when needed, not saved for a single breaking point.

Many people describe the result as a quiet return of spaciousness and possibility.

Our first Live Spaciously Residency unfolded here—a city that balances rhythm, warmth, and modern ease. From morning light on the bay to rooftop evenings in Casco Viejo, Panama offers an environment that supports focus, connection, and perspective.

Whether you stay for a long weekend, a week, or a month, this residency is designed to fit real adult lives—work-compatible, thoughtfully curated, and grounded in place.

But here's what you can't Google: the energy. Medellín has transformed from its complicated past into one of Latin America's most innovative, entrepreneurial cities. The co-working culture is strong. The expat community is welcoming. And the city genuinely celebrates reinvention.

I’ve lived and worked across five countries and traveled extensively while building and leading high-pressure, global work. I know what it’s like to move through the world carrying responsibility, vigilance, and constant decision-making.

Live Spaciously exists because I learned that recovery is not about stopping ambition. It’s about changing the conditions that quietly drain clarity over time.

Before a location becomes a Live Spaciously Residency, I spend time living there myself. I pay attention to daily rhythms, workability, safety, and what it feels like once the novelty wears off. I ask practical questions:
Can I settle here?
Can I think clearly?
Can I move through daily life without constant negotiation?

Especially as a Black woman, those questions matter.

Live Spaciously designs short, supported pauses in places that pass that test. Places where the environment asks less of you, so your mind can do more of what it does best.

This isn’t escape.
It’s restoration, designed for people who carry a lot and need space to set it down without disappearing from their lives.
